Northampton County, PA
Northampton County is located in the northeastern region of Pennsylvania. The 2010 census showed that the population had reached 297,735. Easton is the county seat. It was created in 1752, from parts of Bucks County. Its name ake was Northampton shire in England. Easton’s county seat was named after the Easton Neston country house in the shire.
Northampton County is part of the Allentown-Bethlehem–Easton, PA–NJ Metropolitan Statistical Area. Its northern border is The Poconos. The Delaware River runs through its eastern section, which divides Pennsylvania from New Jersey.
